I was really surprised the other day while trying to make a back up of my favorite game’s installation dvd to find out that it had no copy protection. The copy dvd worked perfectly, without any effort to get around copy protection or any other special efforts. I was amazed.

I was also quite pleased, since the original might get lost, scratched or worse. It’s reassuring to know that my $50 investment in this game won’t go out the window the first time the DVD drops on the ground, or worse, gets eaten by the dog. And what to do if it were to ever get lost? That;s why I always makebackups.
