I’m an old Army Corporal that served for 12 years some number of years ago. I was discharged for health reasons, and I’ve always been proud of my time in. My 17 year old son has shown little interest in following his father’s footsteps. Instead he has decided to rebel and where’s black makeup and black clothes and prefers to express himself through poetry and art. I love my son, no question, but it’s sometime hard to connect, you know? But, he spent the weekend with some friends out of town, and I’ll never forget the words that came out his mouth when he got back. “Dad, I want to get some Gas Airsoft Guns this weekend! Want to come and play?”
