El Tecuan is a 2200 acre beach front property that was given to military general by a former Mexican president. The general attempted to build a luxurious resort complete with a hotel, swimming pool, tennis court and airplane landing strip, but before he could finish his dream, the general passed away. Family members of his had no interest in the development and left it to be. The hotel is now abandoned and it quite a site to see. El Tecuan is relatively all beach front property with a large lagoon in behind. The area is well known by locals for its surfing and surf fishing. Since Real Estate in El Tecuan is a new market it is perfect for a dream beach front home or it would be an amazing spot for a luxury resort like the general wanted.
