Marley lost her full-time job as a receptionist at a day spa. She wanted to try doing freelance work while she looked for another job. However, she wasnt sure whether she could get unemployment benefits if she was working as a freelance graphics artist. She didnt know whether there were unemployment benefits freelance work consultants could avail of, so she decided to head down to the local benefits office to ask around. The office was closed when she got there, however, so she had the option to wait until Monday, when the office was open, or simply make an online inquiry at the office’s website. She sent an email asking about unemployment benefits for freelance workers and was surprised when she received a reply within the hour.
