If you are travelling out of the country and need extra money, it is adviseable to use your credit or debit card to get the money. This way you will get the best foreign exchange rates and save yourself some money. You see, when using your credit card or debit card, you cut out the middle man and his extra fees. You pay the same rate that the banks charge each other for the transaction. Keep in mind, there may still be charges on your card of up to 3% or so for any foreign purchases. Do your research ahead of time so you know before you buy.
