When you think about it, the reason we love dogs is because they are so active and intelligent. They are real little characters full of fun and enthusiasm for life. That is why they can make us feel good just by having them around us.

So, when we leave them shut up at home or in a kennel for hours they can become a very bored dog because they are intelligent and want to do interesting things all the time, just like us.

It is important to give them some toys to keep their minds active and occupied. If they become excessively bored they might start to chew things around the house that you don’t want chewed such as furniture and upholstery. So give your dog a toy to prevent it becoming bored.
