The Whitehouse signifies the United States government. It is the present residence of the president and his family and a place where cabinet conferences and social gatherings take place.

The American government is composed of various departments – executive, judicial and legislative branch. Taking the role description from the Whitehouse online page, “the power of the executive branch is vested in the President, who also serves as Commander in Chief of the Armed Forces while the judicial branch hears cases that trial or need interpretation of the legislation passed by Congress and signed by the President.” On the other hand, the legislative branch of the federal government consists of the Congress, which is divided into two chambers — the Senate and the House of Representatives.
