Don’t throw out CDs – clean them
If you don’t know how to clean CDs, it can’t be easier then saying 1-2-3. Just collect any discs that need cleaning and make a bit of a small amount of baking soda and toothpaste. Use very soft brush and apply the mixture on the scratched or dirty CD moving the brush from the center to the edges. DO NOT move it parallel to the tracks as it may ruin the CD. Now let the paste dry and wash it with water. Wipe it with cotton clothing and your CD should be working perfectly fine. I would also suggest making a copy in case it goes back to being bad again.
