Gout is disease that causes arthritis-like swelling in feet, legs, joints.  It’s caused by the buildup of uric acid and there is no known cure, although doctors often presribe medicines to make patients more comfortable.

The cause of gout is the buildup of uric acide in the blood and joints, and some feel that too little exercise contributes to the problem.   Colchicene is a medication which is prescribed to offer gout relief.  It is an anti-inflammatory and can treat joint discomfort.

Known colchicines side effects can include stomach pain, vomiting, and abdominal cramps, among others.

Because of the uncomfortable side effects from medicines such as colchichene, some patients are trying natural alternatives which have fewer, if any side affects.
