For plastics manufacturing companies, having a top-notch plastics training program for their employees is a vital requirement for ultimate success.  But it’s not enough just to have a training program, obviously it has to be used. And not only used, the results of the training need to be tracked.  After all, how do you know what the impact of the training is if you don’t track the improvement in employees skills and knowledge, and of course productivity, which is ultimately the goal of the training in the first place.

Some of the new plastics training methods come as close as possible to a "set it and forget it" training approach.  A company can set up a training computer, or a network of training computers, and assign employees to specific training lessons and specific training times.  This eliminates the need to take groups of employees off the production floor and allows production to continue uninterrupted.  For tracking, a computer-based training program keeps all training records automatically so the administrator of the training only needs to log on occasionally to get reports on current training activity.
