Loan modiciation process — what’s involved?
I have all my documents ready to go — everything from my paycheck stubs to my mortgage agreement to my hardship letter (that was the hardest thing to get going). Now all I need to know is how this whole loan modification process actually works.
I’ve heard that it can take anywhere from two to three months to get a final agreement worked out. During that time, do I have to continue making payments? I can’t afford them in the first place, which is why I need this done like yesterday.
If someone can let me know what I need to do, that would be appreciated.
