When we were growing up, my father was a traveling salesman. He made a good living for his family by traveling to hospitals and colleges all across the country and selling laboratory furniture out of a brochure. His approach was so unique that he quickly became the top salesman in his company. He would frequently offer buy one get one free deals on very large orders. He could also arrange financing when necessary through a deal he made with his brother in law, who operated several banks. My father was not home all the time, but we had everything we ever needed because of his hard work.
