One of the biggest advantages of using video training for an extrusion manufacturer’s extrusion training needs is that this type of training is extremely cost effective. Buying or leasing training videos and/or CDs/DVDs is typically a one-time cost that can then be used over and over. Today many companies are delivering their video training in a digital format which allows the training to be customized and updated very easily.  What this means for the extrusion manufacturer is that they can be assured that their training investment is always current and that their employees are getting the highest quality training possible.

Another advantage of using video training is that the company has the option of giving the training in groups or individually.  For individual training, the employee will sit down in front of the TV or computer monitor and take their training lesson.  All of the training activity is recorded automatically including how they answer questions presented during the training and how long they take to complete each training lesson.  For classroom training, the video can be started and stopped at various times to clarify or expand on points presented in training.  Many companies find this valuable to use periodically after each employee has been through a specific training lesson individually.  It helps clarify difficult or obscure points or any other areas of misunderstanding that may have occurred during individual training.
