Since I am working on a degree in the arts, I like to attend art openings in the city as a way to show support to emerging artists. Some of my friends and I like to make a day of it, and we will usually go out to lunch first, then go to the showings. Last weekend we heard that there was some new work being featured at a contemporary art gallery new york city and we decided to go. It is so relaxing to walk around and soak in the different emotions of the pieces, and it was a great showing. Looking at art is one of my favorite pastimes.
